services we offer musicians and people in need of repairs and live events services

We're able to restore vintage equipment back to a working state as the manufacture intended it to be.  This is through a combination of using original parts, remakes, and compatible off the shelf models.

Our part sourcing quest has uncovered a now UK supplier to sickamps who can custom wind transformers using original specification plans and will build a like for like burnt out transformer.  If you want a custom transformer please get in touch with as much details of the amp and transformer as possible.

As we see so many amplifiers in for repair one of our biggest ambitions is to create our own simple small all valve amplifier for studio and bedroom / small venue use.  Typically less than 7W and have as transparent simple tone control as possible to offer a small great sounding amplifier easy to overdrive.  If you would be interested in our journey or wish to support us please get in touch from our contact page.

Like a well performing vehicle, every now and then it's good to get a checkup to ensure everything is running as it should be.

We tend to look at musical electronics such as guitar amps, keyboards mixers and speakers like vehicles.  Occasionally they have a hiccup and you need to take them to the garage to be repaired, generally as quickly as possible to avoid problems in arranging time out or temporary cover.  The only difference is that the replacement parts network isn't as good as vehicles! Our workshop keeps a fair stock of all common valves and bases, transistors resistors and other passive components including popular repair items jack sockets and pots.

Our fully equipped workshop in Harlow on the Roydon side of the town offers great links to the M11 and A414, for easy access to London, Cambridge Hatfield and Southend.  We have CCTV and are based on a secure compound offering a safe place to have your guitar amplifier repaired.  Where possible we always use original equipment manufacture (OEM) parts to carry out repairs.  We do not reference to forums or 'my mate says' as we believe that the manufactures hold the best information on how their amplifier works.  Where schematics are not available we use our technical judgement to make logical decisions and choices through years of electronics tinkering.

All repairs come with a 3 month quibble free warranty against the fault(Conditions of repair).  We take emergency bookings for when it all goes wrong as well as planned servicing.  For schools we offer account options (please see the education section in the services menu) and for people coming off the street we offer cash and all leading credit and debit card payments with a invoice and workshop report upon repair.

This page contains what we call 'daily repairs' they include the kinds of jobs we do regularly, so if you've got something similar don't worry you are in safe hands!
