Millers Music Centre is located on Sussex Street, in the centre of Cambridge. We've got a team of experts in just about every field of music, tying in to Cambridge's rich traditions of choral music, folk, rock, and classical.
Our piano department has a huge variety of instruments for you to try, from a wide variety of secondhand upright pianos reconditioned and tuned by our own technicians, to brand new state-of-the-art German and Japanese instruments. You're very welcome to try out any of the instruments we've got in the showroom, and any of our experts will be happy to talk to you about the differences between models and help you find the piano that suits you the best.
Cambridge has a great history of rock and roll music, ranging from the Beatles playing at the Regal, through Pink Floyd at the Anchor, all the way to Alt-J winning the 2012 Mercury Prize. We're proud to have been a part of that, and our guitar department has a huge range of electric and acoustic guitars all the way from instruments for absolute beginners to top-of-the-line limited edition Fender and Martin models. Again, we'll be happy to help you try any of them out, and help you find the guitar, amplifier and accessories that are right for you.
Our rental offer makes it easy for anyone to pick up an instrument - with only a 3 month minimum on renting a trumpet or flute, and prices as low as £8/month, it's more accessible than ever to pick up a new instrument and develop a hobby that stays with you for life. We've also got string instruments in every size for rent or purchase, and our diverse team will be delighted to help fit you for the size that's right for you.
As the largest sheet music retailer in Cambridge, we keep a great variety of choral and instrumental music and tuition books for every level of player. If there's anything that we don't have in the shop, we'll be delighted to order it for you - it's a point of pride that if a book's in print, we can get it for you.
Cambridge is already well known for the Cambridge Folk Festival, and every year we stock up on ukuleles, mandolins, fiddles and banjos in preparation. We'll help you find your perfect instrument, and if you need any accessories just let us know - we've got bags, cases, capos, and things you never even knew you needed.
